A 37-year-old man has been bitten by a snake while walking near Lake Illawarra today.
Ambulance paramedics were called to Shellharbour Road, Warilla, just before 1pm following reports a man had received a snake bite while walking at the back of the lake.
He was transported to Shellharbour Hospital in a stable condition.
It is unknown what species of snake bit the man.
