After months of avoidance on the subject, the club yesterday confirmed in a statement that the premiership-winning pair had started in their new post-football venture.
In addition, Young and Hornby have been announced as club ambassadors and recruitment officers in the joint venture's high performance unit.
Hornby and Young each drew the curtain on their decorated careers earlier this year, having amassed 482 first-grade games between them.
"I have wanted to remain active in the game of rugby league since retiring and am grateful for the pathways that have opened up for me," Young said.
"I'm looking forward to doing my part now for the club across the various areas and am looking forward to being able to transfer the knowledge and experience that I have gained through my career at the Dragons to help develop the local juniors."
