But the response, dated November 21, and the news of additional funding yesterday, wasn't much comfort for the Lake Illawarra mum who said politicians were "full of empty promises".
"I still can't afford private clinics. I still struggle to pay the mortgage. If Chloe is admitted back into Westmead, I'll still struggle to even get up there to see her," she said.
Chloe went public about her three-year battle with anorexia to raise awareness about the loneliness and desperation she feels.
Shellharbour MP Anna Watson had urged Mr Humphries to consider Chloe's plight and improve services in the Illawarra.
