Surfers are set to shred the shore instead of the sea to keep Port Kembla's beaches in pristine condition.
Michael Cross and the Port Kembla Boardriders are preparing for the second annual clean-up day tomorrow.
"We're not trying to change the world," Michael Cross said. "We just want to pitch in and do our bit."
The clean-up day will cover MM Beach, Fishermans Beach, Port Kembla Beach and the rocks in between.
"The council do a great job of keeping the area clean, we just want to do a little bit extra to help out," Mr Cross said.
Members of the community are encouraged to join in from 8am at the north end of MM Beach. A sausage sizzle at Port Kembla Beach ends the clean-up.
