About 10pm on Monday police were called to the boat ramp following reports a Kia Carnival was submerged in the water.
Police will allege a 31-year-old woman had been drinking alcohol in her car on the boat ramp and when she attempted to leave mistook the ramp for the road.
The vehicle sank with the woman still inside, however she managed to escape through an open window.
A man who saw the incident helped pull the woman from the water.
Police said the woman was breath-tested at the scene and returned a positive result, with a later breath analysis allegedly returning a reading of 0.053.
The Queensland woman was charged with low-range drink driving and issued a court attendance notice.
