Paraglider pilot crashes at base of Hill 60

Ambulance paramedics are treating a paraglider pilot who crashed at the base of Hill 60 this afternoon.

The man was paragliding off Port Kembla just before 5pm when his chute stalled, causing him to crash from a height of 10m onto wet sand below.

Paramedics used a four-wheel drive vehicle to reach the man, who is complaining of lower back pain.

They are now working to remove the man from Fishermans Beach so he can be transported to hospital.
