Killalea State Park is calling for volunteers to be part of a new initiative, The Friends of Killalea.
The voluntary group will get together once or twice a month to conduct bush regeneration programs, track construction and general park maintenance, Killalea State Park manager Nathan Cattell said.
"As the new manager I would like to work alongside those in the community who have a desire to maintain the beauty of Killalea and invite anyone who is willing to volunteer their time to work with the staff and I to achieve a common goal," he added.
A range of free training sessions will also be held throughout the year for volunteers.
A meeting for anyone interested in joining The Friends of Killalea will be held at the park's main office at 6pm on January 23.
