The injury-ravaged Wollongong Hawks crashed to their sixth straight loss last night in north Queensland.
After going down by a point to titleholders New Zealand on Thursday, the Hawks made the long trek to Townsville to take on the much improved Crocodiles.
Townsville import Gary Ervin had a major impact against his former side, scoring 26 points in the Crocs’ 82-74 victory.
Since starting the season with seven wins from their first eight games, the Hawks have lost eight of nine.
Wollongong will be desperate to break their drought when the host New Zealand on Australia Day.
