Two motorists had lucky escapes when a tree fell on their vehicles as they were driving along Picton Road.
Police said a black ute was heading towards Wollongong while a white HiLux was travelling in the opposite direction.
As the two cars passed each other, a tree fell from bushland on the side of the road.
Both cars were hit by the tree and severely damaged, police said. However, both drivers escaped with minor injuries.
The driver of the black ute had a few scratches, while the HiLux driver reported a sore neck and was taken to hospital for observation.
The accident closed Picton Road for at least 40 minutes while the cars were removed and fire crews cut up the fallen tree.
