RDA Illawarra should be involved in deciding how to spend the $100 million from the leasing of Port Kembla, Shellharbour MP Anna Watson says.
The state government has promised that $100 million would be spent on an infrastructure project in the region.

While unhappy that the government has yet to settle on a certain project, Ms Watson wanted the government to include RDA Illawarra in the decision-making process.
"I have no confidence at all that the government or Infrastructure NSW can identify suitable projects that will benefit the whole of the Illawarra region," Ms Watson said.
"The government must task RDA Illawarra with a key role in this process if we are to have any confidence that the $100 million will be spent wisely on projects that benefit the Illawarra."
