Kembla Grange Racecourse manager David Anderson prefers to take the positives out of the big wet which has lashed the course with more than 190 millimetres of rain since Saturday night.
"It will build all the dams back up which will be good," Anderson said.
"That has been a bit of a struggle and it's filled them up really well.
"It will also be good for that inside grass because it needed a drink."
Racing NSW has already been forced to abandon meetings at Grafton (Sunday), Armidale (Monday) and Port Macquarie (yesterday).
However, the grounds staff still remain upbeat about the prospects of Kembla going ahead on Saturday which will then be followed by an Australian Turf Club meeting on the following Wednesday.
"While it's obviously pretty wet, we'll just have to wait and see as it's still only [early in the week]," Anderson said yesterday.
