Trains suspended on South Coast line

6.10pm: Trains have now resumed between Waterfall and Thirroul. However, passengers are advised to expect delays as the trains will be moving slowly through the area.

4.30pm: Train services have been suspended between Thirroul and Waterfall after severe weather activated rainfall monitors.

Buses are now replacing trains between the two stations. The buses do not operate to a schedule but leave once they are full.

According to the Traffic Management Centre, rainfall monitors were activated about 3.30pm.

Cityrail.info will advise when the service is restored, as will this website.

Commuters are advised to allow extra travel time until then.
