Another overcast sky hung over the Illawarra yesterday, continuing what has been a wet and windy start to February.
Temperatures recorded at the Bureau of Meteorology's Bellambi Point weather station hit little more than 20 degrees in the first four days of the month.
The site recorded more than 31 millimetres of rain on Saturday and drizzle on Sunday and again yesterday.
The bureau has forecast increasingly warm days as the week progresses. More showers are forecast today, before three days of mostly sunshine.
Temperatures will peak on Friday and Saturday at 28 and 29 degrees.
More showers are possible on Saturday, and are probable on Sunday.
