The woman was driving her Holden Barina west on Bolong Road around 9am on Thursday.
The car is believed to have drifted on to the grass verge and the driver overcorrected, according to police.
The car spun for some distance before it left the road and struck a tree.
The woman, who suffered serious head injuries, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to St George Hospital’s intensive car unit and placed on lift support.
She died last night from injuries received in the accident.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
