The Gwynneville school was one of many Illawarra schools to take part in the Christian celebration, which marks the day before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.
Shrove Tuesday is also known as Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, due to the tradition of eating special rich foods before the fasting season.
