Goodbye Cliff Road, hello Wollongong Street, Shellharbour.
Two Shellharbour penthouses are expected to attract offers of well over $2 million in coming weeks.
The luxury penthouses are located in the recently completed Harbour View apartments, a project of Jonathan Homes, the company behind the award-winning Rockpool apartments in nearby Surf Road.
Jonathan Homes partner George Jamoo said each penthouse had more than 200 square metres of floor space plus terrace areas of more than 250 square metres.
They also included three-car garaging.
"No expense was spared," Mr Jamoo said.
He was confident the four-unit Harbour View complex would emulate the success of the Rockpool project, which was completed about five years ago and received awards from the Master Builders Association for quality.
He said the Rockpool apartments had sold well despite going onto the market "at the worst possible time".
Three of the apartments sold for more than $2 million.
Mr Jamoo said the new building's timing was "more fortunate" and came as construction on the nearby Shell Cove marina had begun and the Stockland Shellharbour expansion was nearing completion.
He said the key to Rockpool's success was quality, a good design and location.
"There is nothing wrong with Cliff Road, but for someone to spend millions of dollars in search of position and luxury, my money is on Shellharbour," he said.
He said the positive feel surrounding the Shellharbour area at the moment encouraged his company to invest in the area.
"Shellharbour for me is something different: the village has atmosphere, it is not too busy and nearby the marina being built creates a lot of opportunity.
"All the infrastructure is here and there is a great shopping centre nearby.
"Stockland don't spend that kind of money if they don't see potential in the area."
Mr Jamoo said Jonathan Homes had more plans in motion for Shellharbour, but the company's focus would soon shift to its next project: six luxury apartments opposite Black Beach, Kiama.
