A man has been charged with a slew of drug and firearms offences after a vehicle search in Shellharbour.
About 2am today, police were patrolling the car park near Green Park when they saw two men sitting in a vehicle.
Police searched a 22-year-old man seated in the car and allegedly found about 140 ecstasy tablets, ketamine pills and a crystal substance.
Police also allegedly found a loaded homemade shotgun in the boot and a round of ammunition in the man’s wallet.
He was taken to Lake Illawarra police station and charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a loaded firearm in public place and possessing ammunition without a licence.
He was refused bail and was due to appear at Wollongong Local Court today.
