Woman charged over Warilla glassing

A woman has been charged following a glassing at Warilla Sports Club yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the McGregor Avenue club about 6.20pm yesterday due to a domestic dispute in the gaming area.

Officers found a 32-year-old Barrack Heights man suffering a deep laceration to his face.

He was taken to Shellharbour Hospital where he was expected to undergo emergency surgery.

Investigations led detectives to arrest a 42-year-old woman at her Barrack Heights home about 8.30pm.

She was taken to Lake Illawarra police station where she was charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.

She was given conditional bail and will appear in Wollongong Local Court on March 14.
