Kiama Municipal Council has appointed a disaster recovery information officer to be the primary point of call for residents affected by the tornadoes that hit the region on February 24.
Michael Innes, who has worked for Kiama Council for 18 years, will be available Monday to Friday during business hours to assist the community with any questions or concerns they have related to the tornado event.
Mr Innes can be contacted on 4232 0540.
A Kiama council spokeswoman said all calls are strictly confidential and callers can remain anonymous if they choose to.
Mr Innes will be available to provide information on development application matters, the leisure centre closure, emergency assistance contacts, community welfare contacts and any other issues that relate to the impact of the storm event.
