A group of unsuspecting picnickers were left shaken yesterday after a car drove off an embankment just metres from their barbecue spot at Shellharbour Village.
A witness reported seeing several police cars at the scene in the moments after the accident, just after 1pm.
The Mercury understands one person was arrested at the scene.
