Illawarra "folk" are being urged to fill cases with any second-hand treasure, books, bric-a-brac, handmade craft, clothes and music and find a spot at their indoor market.
There's no need to spend hours packing the car and setting up shop, you just book a stall and turn up.
The market is a fund-raiser for new business Wild Rumpus.
Owners Caitlin Marshall and Lizzie Rose wanted to give "local folk" a forum where they could curate and deliver fun, affordable classes in Wollongong, covering topics like creativity, sustainability and DIY.
"We find talented and interesting people who have a skill to share and build a class around it for people to try out," Ms Rose said yesterday.
"We help fledgling 'teachers' test out their skill-sharing and assist with class design, materials, resources, venue and promotion.
"Classes are low-cost and happen in a cafe, a garden, a beach, a work shed, a bar, a gallery - anywhere with atmosphere."
Ms Rose said Wollongong was home to many talented people with lots of skills.
"Wild Rumpus is a place where those skills can be shared in a fun, affordable way. Adult education classes are fantastic but often a big time and financial commitment." she said.
"Sometimes, we just want to try something out to see if we like it."
The first series of classes will be held this winter.
Think cosy baking classes, roaring power tools, singing, backyard skills and more.
The money raised at the suitcase market on April 27 will help them get started.
It will run from 1-4pm at Thirroul Railway Hall.
