A pre-dawn fire at a Unanderra factory is believed to have been deliberately lit.

The blaze caused about $500,000 worth of damage to the former MP Auctions factory on Glastonbury Ave before fire fighters were called about 4.30am on Wednesday.
Fire and Rescue NSW Illawarra duty commander Roger Mentha said firefighters gained entry to the single-storey brick and iron building and prevented further damage.
‘‘The fire originated in the office area and extended into the into the ceiling and roof space above,’’ he said.
‘‘There was a few factors that led us to believe it was suspicious.’’
It took two hours to extinguish the flames.
Pumps from Unanderra, Warrawong, Dapto and Balgownie and the hydraulic platform from Wollongong were on site.
The warehouse appears disused but contained some excavating and building equipment.
Fire investigators and Lake Illawarra detectives are continuing their inquries into the blaze.
