A NSW Ambulance helicopter was called to Reid Park on Bong Bong Road at Dapto shortly after 11am with reports the young boy had been involved in an on-field collision with another player.

Paramedics used a spine board as a precaution while stablising the boy, who was reportedly suffering from loss of feeling in his limbs.

He was flown to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Another person was also treated at the scene but was not required to be taken to hospital.
