A truck caught on fire while travelling south on Bulli Pass this morning.

Wollongong police said the semi-trailer was heading southbound on the F6 Freeway outside Panorama House around 5.20am and as the driver slowed down to approach the 80km/h zone, he heard a loud bang.
He pulled over and saw flames coming from the truck’s engine. The driver tried to put out the flames, but the fire escalated with the rear and side of the truck ablaze.
Bulli Fire Brigade, the Rural Fire Service and police arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire.
The driver was uninjured and decline medical treatment for smoke inhalation, police said.
The incident caused traffic delays but the area is now clear.
