All up the government has allocated more $200million to upgrading the Princes Highway.
The $310 million Gerringong upgrade, due for completion in 2015 stands to get $115million in the 2013-14 budget.
$19million will go towards the Foxground and Berry Bypass and $18million will be spent at South Nowra.
Additionally, $6.5million will go to planning works at Berry and further down the coast, while the Bega Bypass will receive $10million and $28.5million will be spent on minor maintenance and traffic works.
In the northern part of the region at Mount Ousley, the government will put $4million towards building climbing lanes – an $84million project announced last month.
The $200million does not include $170million previously allocated to the Foxground and Berry Bypass.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward has hailed the money a major win and him making good on election promise to fix roads.
