The building, which was Sir Donald Bradman’s boyhood home, won a NSW Heritage award last month for Conversation Built Heritage.
Sport and Recreation Minister Graham Annesley said his government was committed to supporting ‘‘grassroots’’ sporting organisations.
‘‘Sport is important to the Australian sense of identity and is a vital way for people to connect with their local communities and institutions,’’ he said.
Additionally, $1.5 million will go towards the 10 regional academies of sport and $2 million will help upgrade surf lifesaving clubs along the coast.
The government will also fund the bulk of its WIN Stadium revamp next year budget, allocating $784,000 of the $1 million project in the 2013-2014 budget.
The stadium upgrade was announced last year and will include replacing the corroded and leaking metal roof.
