Corrimal Women's Bowling Club raised $1500 for two charities at a special bowls day recently.
The ladies battled rain in two games of triples to raise funds for Cancer Carers and Christina's House of Hope.
The club filled two greens, with Corrimal ladies president Robyn Sweeny handing over the winners' purse of $540 to the visitors from Warilla Bowling Club - Emelia West, Narelle Mushett and Julea Morgan.
The Bellambi team of Shirley Lentle, Anne Cross and Judy Ramsey also played well and finished runners-up.
The teams played for morning and afternoon trophies with Theresa Fox, Carole Micale and Mary Noonan claiming the morning prize and Bev Emmett, Maureen Congdon and Isabel Fenton winning in the afternoon.
The gala day consolation trophies were won by Jan Halbert, Pauline Martin and Robyn Walker.
