Organisers of tomorrow's Illawarra Wedding Expo at WIN Entertainment Centre are getting excited ahead of the big day, with more than 120 exhibitors to show.
And they are pinching themselves about the bridal fashion coup that Wollongong has scored.
Alfred Angelo's latest collection, released to mark the dressmaker's 80th year since starting out in a small town in Pennsylvania, USA, will be seen at the expo even before it is shown to Australian stockists.
The collection will form one of three wedding fashion parades to be held at the expo, and for the first time each will include plus-size models.
Stacy Bunker from the Illawarra Wedding Centre at Port Kembla said the Alfred Angelo collections continued to impress brides.
"With sizes ranging up to 32 and glamorous accessories such as jackets and belts, brides are given even more options for finding their dream gown," she said.
Illawarra Wedding Expo producer Kylie-ann Haynes said she had enjoyed organising the event.
"The value of it to the business community is reflected in the 120 exhibitors we have this year, the value of prizes and the wonderful heritage the Illawarra Mercury established," she said.
"We look forward to welcoming brides and grooms, their friends and family to the Illawarra Wedding Expo," Ms Haynes said.
For one lucky bride, 10 Wedding Wishes will be granted through a major prize draw.
The 10 Wedding Wishes major prize will provide the essentials for the lucky winner, including a reception at Mercure Gerringong, wedding dress and accessories from the Illawarra Wedding Centre (dress from the Alfred Angelo Collection), menswear from Tramps The Store, photography by David Paillas Photography, video coverage from No Limit Pictures, flowers from Aahh Flowers, wedding styling from Southern Style, make-up from Making Faces Make-up Studio, wedding cars from Kombi Occasions and a honeymoon travel voucher from Platinum Travel.
Your entry form for the Ten Wedding Wishes competition appears in today's Illawarra Mercury on page 47.
