Five men who are due to face court over a series of alleged break and enters and armed robberies in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven now face additional charges.
Lake Illawarra Police yesterday laid the charges in Wollongong Local Court against the five men, who were previously charged by Strike Force Riordan in June.
Five men - aged, 25, 23, 22 and two 20-year-olds - and a 21-year-old woman were all arrested after search warrants were executed on June 14. They were charged with a total of 70 offences.
The charges relating to a series of aggravated break, enter and steal and aggravated armed robberies, which were allegedly committed against businesses in the Illawarra, Bowral and Shoalhaven areas.
The 25-year-old man was charged with a further 59 offences; the 23-year-old an additional 58 offences; and the 22-year-old man was charged with another 23 offences.
All five men now face a total of 155 offences, including aggravated break, enter and steal, steal motor vehicle, police pursuit and ongoing drug supply.
Four men remain in custody while the 22-year-old man has been granted conditional bail. All five are due to face Wollongong Local Court on September 25.
