Budding model and TV star Jade Collins spent Saturday taking selfies at Stockland Shellharbour.
The 20-year-old Collins, a contestant in the current series of Fox8’s Australia’s Next Top Model, was at Myer Shellharbour to meet and greet with fans - and give them a chance to take a selfie with her in the in-store photo booth.
Collins, who is also studying international studies and law at the University of Western Sydney, said she was still getting used to the idea of people getting excited about seeing her.
‘‘It’s definitely weird,’’ she admitted.
‘‘I’m not used to it yet and I don’t think I’ll ever get used it because I’m just a normal person. But people are there on my Instagram going ‘Oh My God! Jade!’. It’s weird, I’m just a normal girl who is just like everyone else.’’
Collins said being on the show has made her dream of being a model feel more realistic.
Right now she’s learning how to juggle the modelling and her university studies.‘‘It’s good - I really like uni so it’s not like I have to force myself to go.’’ she said.
‘‘It’s easy because it’s what I like to do.’’
