Police have charged a train guard over the alleged indecent assault and attempted sexual assault of a teenage girl on a Wollongong train in April.
Last month, officers attached to the Police Transport Command commenced investigations into the alleged attempted sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl.
The incident is alleged to have happened on Saturday, April 27.
Detectives from the Police Transport Command arrested the 53-year-old man on Friday afternoon.
He was charged with sexual intercourse without consent (attempted) and assault with act of indecency.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday, September 10. Investigations into the matter are continuing.
