Wollongong Police have charged a 31-year-old man from Fairy Meadow with assault after a man was allegedly king hit in Crown Street last month.
A police spokesman said it was alleged the man punched the victim in the head, causing him to immediately fall to the ground unconscious, on July 28.
The victim was later treated at Wollongong Hospital.
The 31-year-old was granted bail to appear at Wollongong Court on September 17.
The charges come less than a week after an 18-year-old man was king hit on the same street.
Police are yet to lay charges in relation to that incident.
