How can anyone tell me Kade Snowden's hit on Ray Thompson should have received a ban five weeks greater than that handed down to Frank Pritchard? Fair dinkum!
If you want to hear my thoughts on why the shoulder charge should still be in the game, refer to column 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ... Anyway, you get the point.
But I can't understand how they're policing this thing.
I feel sorry for Ray Thompson, but I don't think there was a lot of intent from Snowden's hit on him. The Newcastle prop mistimed it and deserves to pay a price.
But we're now handing out sanctions on the injury resulting from the offence. That's a very dangerous precedent.
If anything, Pritchard's hit on Bryson Goodwin was full of intent. He burst out of the line, lined him up and flung himself at the ball carrier.
The only difference was Goodwin wasn't clocked on the button and eventually bounced back to his feet. Hence, Pritchard gets a two-week ban and Snowden gets seven. Please.
