Shellharbour Square patrons were treated to an impromptu broadway number today, as cast members of Wollongong’s upcoming Hairspray musical staged a flash mob.
Unsuspecting grocery shoppers were taken aback as drummer Mark Akele began to tap the beat of Good Morning Baltimore outside Coles about lunch time.
About 15 other performers, who had dressed down to avoid suspicion, quickly joined in and by the end of the song scores of onlookers were gathered around clapping.
The show is being staged at WIN Entertainment Centre on November 1-2 by local company MoonGlow Productions.
Tickets are available from Ticketek.
