Two men were taken to hospital following an aggravated break, enter and steal at Albion Park Rail last night.
Lake Illawarra police said two men, armed with a pole and a branch, entered a home around 6pm and assaulted three males who were at the premises.
A 41-year-old male victim suffered swelling and bleeding after he was struck in the head and left jaw. A 21-year-old victim also suffered bruising and swelling.
The two perpetrators demanded property and cash from the victims. They damaged the internal walls of the home before fleeing the scene in a vehicle stolen from one of the victims, a 44-year-old male.
Lake Illawarra detectives attended the home and established a crime scene. The two injured men were taken to Wollongong Hospital.
The first perpetrator was described as an Aboriginal male, around 180 centimetres tall with a stocky build and black hair.
The second man was of European descent, with a medium build and around 180 centimetres tall.
Police are continuing their inquiries.
