Police have scaled down a search for a woman who was believed to have fallen off a cliff on the Minnamurra headland this morning.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene, in the vicinity of the Eureka Ave car park at about 8.30am today.
They were responding to a call about a woman who had gone over the edge of the cliff.
It is understood there was a witness who claimed to have seen a woman in the area shortly beforehand.
Police searched the cliff-face with the assistance of the rescue helicopter in the air and surf-life saving crews in the water.
After 90 minutes had passed with no sign of any person, the search was scaled down with ambulance crews and surf life-saving crews leaving the location.
It is understood police remained on the scene.
