Police are appealing for information after a woman was tied up during a home invasion near Wollongong last week.
About 8.45am on September 6, a 42-year-old woman returned to her Eastern Street home in Gwynneville, where she was confronted by a man.
While inside the premise, the man forced her to the ground and demanded money.
The woman was assaulted and lost consciousness during the incident. She awoke to find the man had fled the location and she had been tied-up with her hands behind her back.
She managed to break free a short time later and alerted a neighbour, who contacted emergency services.
Wollongong police attended the house and established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
The woman was treated by paramedics for minor injuries to her arm and face, before being taken to Wollongong Hospital.
Detectives are appealing for information and urge anyone who saw or heard any unusual or suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
