From athletics to gymnastics, tennis to football, soccer, netball, bocce, baseball and many other sports, Figtree High have produced a range of champions and performances to savour.
Dozens of students have earned success in individual sports, while a host of teams have made it to the top in regional and state titles, with some qualifying for national honours.
Jarrod Twigg, Momolu Sirleaf, Joshua Head, Sam Oyston, Joshua Byrne and Matthew Hobbs combined for Figtree High to score a boilover win in the under 15 division at the recent Athletics NSW All Schools Knockout Championship.
The boys beat some of the biggest and richest schools in NSW to qualify for the Athletics Australia All Schools Knockout Final in Townsville in December.
Figtree High was also the champion school at the South Coast Secondary Schools Athletic Carnival in early August, with Jarrod Twigg and Teghan Barklay the champion boy and girl and Camelia Ali, Teghan Barklay, Jarrod Twigg and Chris Twigg the respective age champions.
In Futsal, the under-14s boys and girls, along with open boys and girls, are the Football NSW state finalists.
The under-14 boys, comprising Travis Anderson, Kieran Brodnik, Matthew Delbanco, Emmanuel Hondroudakis, Chris Popovski and Emmanuel Kamara lost 3-2 to Endeavour Sports HS in the final.
The under-14 boys and open girls are the South Coast regional champions.
Meanwhile, Jayden Smileski, Cameron Lodge and Callum Dodds as the under-12 boys' team finished second in the NSW CHS Cross Country Championships, while in gymnastics Payton Williams was fourth overall in Female Level 6 at the NSW CHS Championships and Daniel Pelaez second in Male Overall in Level 5.
Figtree High were Southern NSW and South Coast Champions in soccer and made the under-15 Bill Turner Cup quarter-finals.
The school's under-15 girls' netball team are South Coast Champions and will compete at the NSW CHS Championship next year.
Zac Powell, Keiran Osborne, Reed Leussink and Ben Rada are the South Coast Intermediate champions in mountainbiking, while in tennis, the open boys' team are South Coast champions.
Mecenzi Howard is a junior and national champion in bocce in her BC1 classification and has been selected to participate in the Oceania Games which is a qualifier for the 2016 Paralympic Games.
Brad Simon represented NSW CHS in baseball, while top basketballer Daniella Milisic helped South Coast convincingly win the NSW CHS championship.
Jayden Smileski, Jason Bloomfield and Lauren Smileski excelled in team tennis, while Nathan Leatigaga (rugby league) helped the NSW CHS team win the Australian schoolboys championship.
Toby Dodds and Mitchell Galea were high achievers in cricket and hockey respectively, while a number of students made the NSW CHS swimming, cross-country and athletics teams as individuals or members of a relay team.
