Shellharbour's Naomi Ryan was at the top of her game in claiming the Illawarra District Women's Champion of Club Champion Singles title at Wiseman Park Bowling Club.
Ryan overcame Towradgi's Kay Gill 25-18 in an extremely competitive final.
Gill was on top for patches of the final, but Ryan made some decisive shots when it really mattered. The event featured major singles champions from 11 Illawarra clubs.
Ryan beat Thirroul's Mary Rodgers and Dapto Citizens' Julie Feltham to reach the final.
It's been a big few weeks for Illawarra women's bowls with Warilla claiming the Grade 1 state pennant title and Bellambi finishing third in Grade 4 in their first state finals.

The Illawarra side improved with each match and finished third at the inter-zone under-25s Challenge at Belmont Bowling Club last weekend.
The two-day event featured seven players from Illawarra Zone 16, plus zones 2, 6 and 15, playing singles, pairs and fours with zones 2 and 15 playing off in the final.
Jordan Taylor, 15, from the Oak Flats club represented Illawarra in the singles, with Dale Samaha (Towradgi) and Danyon Christie (Fairy Meadow) in the pairs team.
Fairy Meadow’s Tim Christie, Dapto Citizens’ Corey Thompson, Windang’s Jack Bowsher and Bulli’s Jared Hamilton played in the fours.
Illawarra beat Zone 15 in the third place play-off after losing to them in their round-robin match.
After overall losses to zones 2 and 15 in the first two matches, Illawarra won the singles and fours in the final against Zone 6.
Taylor was the youngest in any team and played well. Danyon Christie stood out for Illawarra.
