The search for the missing ticket holder who won a $1,615,384.62 share in Saturday Lotto’s $21 million Superdraw is over after a Wollongong woman came forward and claimed the prize.
The winner, who has asked to remain anonymous, said she’d been sick in bed and was unaware NSW Lotteries had been searching for a missing winner.
‘‘Someone told me that there was a Saturday Lotto first division winner from Wollongong and people were being asked to check their tickets,” she said.
‘‘So I checked my numbers online and I was looking at my ticket saying, ‘That’s one number, two, three, four, five, six!’
‘‘Amazingly I was calm. I think it’s because I didn’t believe it. Actually I still don’t believe it. I’m not going to believe it until the money is in the bank. It’s business as usual at the moment.’’
