No matter how old you are, making things fizz, bubble and explode is always fun.
Sophie McGuire looked on nervously at the Wollongong Science Centre and Planetarium's fizzy science workshop yesterday as they tried the much-loved Mentos and Coca-Cola trick, which produces a spectacular eruption as the two products combine.
The kids also got to make and enjoy some lemonade and sherbet as they learnt about acids and reactions. To book a spot in one of this week's science workshops, which feature forensic science, dinosaurs and rockets, call 4286 5000.
