Motorists travelling to Sydney are advised that road closures for today’s International Fleet Review celebrations are now in place in the Sydney CBD.
Margaret Street is now closed between Clarence Street and Kent Street.
Napoleon Street is also closed between Kent Street and Hickson Road on the way to Barangaroo.
Both roads will reopen at 7 tonight.
Additionally, Cowper Wharf Road remains closed in Woolloomooloo until 11pm and Mrs Macquaries Road is closed until 6pm tomorrow.
All tickets to the warship and tall ship open days are sold out.
Ticket holders are advised to take advantage of extra bus and train services.
Warships will be open at Garden Island and Barangaroo from 8am until 6pm, and tall ships will be open at the Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour and in nearby Cockle Bay between 9.30am and 5pm.
‘‘We’re again advising people not to try to drive to any of the locations as parking will be extremely difficult due to road closures,’’ said Government Event Director Phil Akers.
‘‘The best way to get there is to catch the train or bus and walk by following the colour-coded signs.’’
