South Nowra manufacturer Rambor followed on from its success at the recent Shoalhaven Business Awards by winning the Illawarra category of the prestigious 2013 NSW Premiers Export Awards.
Export Council of Australia executive chairman Ian Murray said the annual event recognised the best of the best exporters in the state for their excellence in front of 600 guests.
‘‘This year’s awards showcased some truly innovative companies, particularly in all export sectors, and we congratulate Rambor on their success,” Mr Murray said.
Rambor operations manager Andy Halliday said managing director Peter Mastalir and general administration manager Cameron Cole both attended the awards event and everyone associated with the business was excited by the recognition.
‘‘Rambor has also been nominated as finalist in three categories at the Illawarra Business Awards this week,’’ he said.
‘‘We are finalists in the export, innovation and manufacturing categories.’’
Rambor products are designed and manufactured for the underground coalmining market, where they are used for the installation of roof and wall-retention chemical anchor bolts to improve mine safety.
Rambor equipment is sold around the world.
