Mother of two Margot Batty never thought about Halloween when she was young, but her sons Liam, 8, and Mason, 5, can't get enough of it.
"It's just not an Australian thing. I'm only doing it because my kids - it's all they talk about for weeks leading up to it," she said.
Dressed as "furry monsters", the two boys trick-or-treated along Jindabyne Road, Flinders, last night.
Ms Batty said it was the second time her sons had embraced Halloween, but she "wouldn't be disappointed" if they weren't as keen on it next year.
"You can't let them go to school tomorrow and have everyone talk about [the lollies they collected] and they not talk about it," she said.
"To be honest I think they got more out of it just walking around knocking on doors in their outfits."
