A man living in a Coniston men's shelter near Wollongong has been accused of killing his ex-partner in western Sydney.
Stuart Morphy, 25, has been charged with murdering Christie Camilleri, believed to be his ex-girlfriend.
The 32-year-old’s body was found at a house in Davidson Road, Guildford at 6.30pm on Wednesday.
Morphy was arrested at the scene and charged with murder soon after the alleged offence took place.
His lawyer mentioned his charge at Parramatta Local Court but Morphy chose not to appear in the courtroom.
He did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
Police have established a crime scene at the Guildford home and forensics have been gathering evidence since Thursday morning.
Morphy will appear in the same court on January 30.
