GALLERY: Wayward parachute causes rail delays at Fairy Meadow

A wayward parachute has caused delays for rail passengers travelling north of Fairy Meadow Station.

Police and emergency crews are currently working to remove the parachute after it landed on electrical wire between Towradgi and Fairy Meadow stations near Rann Street.

The parachute is believed to belong to Skydive the Beach and the parachute cord appears to have been cut off.

There are no reports of anyone injured as the result of a sky diving accident.

The Mercury has contacted Skydive the Beach for comment.
