The Heart Foundation's regional health promotion co-ordinator Andy Mark said the event drew walkers from as far afield as Nowra and Bowral.
"Usually our Heart Foundation walking groups meet and walk in their local neighbourhood," he said.
"This walk is special as it brings together groups from the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands in one amazing location."
The Heart Foundation promotes walking groups as an easy way to stay fit and healthy.
"Walking is a simple, free, low-impact exercise, which also offers great potential health benefits," Mr Mark said.
"It helps manage body weight, blood pressure and cholesterol and can lessen the effects of stress."
