The first division prize winner, who asked to remain anonymous, said he did not know how he would spend the money.
‘‘I’m sure my family will definitely help me spend it,’’ he said.
The winning ticket was bought at Wollongong’s Centretown Newsagency
Centretown Newsagency owners Maria and Dennis Colla said they were ‘‘over the moon’’ they had sold the winning lotto ticket.
‘‘It’s been a long time between division one wins for us,’’ Mrs Colla said.
‘‘With Christmas just around the corner, what a great time of the year to win as well.’’
The winning numbers were 15, 33, 22, 10, 12 and 23 with supplementary numbers of 21 and 4.
