A boy who went missing from the Southern Highlands was located safe and well on Saturday night.

About 2pm on Saturday, a 14-year-old autistic boy went missing from his home in Sierra Street, Yerrinbool.
Police were contacted and conducted an extensive search for the boy with the assistance of Polair, the Dog Unit and volunteers from the State Emergency Service.
About 8.25pm, police attended the Hume Highway at Alpine after a motorist reported seeing a boy walking along the central median strip.
Officers from Bowral attended the scene and located the boy safe and well. He has been taken to Bowral Police Station. Police would like to thank members of the public and media for their assistance in the matter.
