A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the accident happened around 11am.

The incident was one of many around the state which prompted paramedics to warn people to be careful while enjoying the outdoors on Boxing Day.

‘‘Paramedics in NSW have once again spent time attending a range of patients hurt having Christmas fun with bikes, beaches and sports fields... a common area of injury during recreational activities,’’ a spokesperson said.

‘‘NSW Ambulance has nonetheless praised the community for a relatively safe day during

the festive period, both in the home and on our roads.’’
